We are providing services of mandap keeper / pandal and shamiana. In this business, goods are moved from godown / one location to other location for temporary renting. Whether compliance in respect of E-way bill will be applicable to such movement in same city ?

Sir the e way bill is required to be issued for movement of goods and it is not concerned whether the movement is for supply of goods or for supply of service or other wise

It means even the goods are moved for storage the EWB is required

The movement of goods with in  the city will be governed by the state e way bill rules (if declared by your state government) because it is applicable to interstate supply from 1st February. (REPLY dt. 26/1/2018)
